Marvel Zombies Characters in Trailer — Survivors, Undead, and What the Trailer Reveals

Marvel Studios has released the first full trailer for Marvel Zombies, the TV-MA animated miniseries that reimagines the MCU as a brutal, undead nightmare. The teaser gives a clear look at the survivors, the zombified heroes, and the tone viewers can expect when all four episodes arrive on Disney+ on September 24, 2025.

Who’s still fighting (the survivors)

The trailer centers on a rag-tag band of living heroes trying to survive in a world where many of Earth’s mightiest have turned. Key survivors shown in the footage include Shang-Chi and Katy, Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), T’Challa, Red Guardian, and Jimmy Woo — a group that forms the human heart of the story as they seek a way to stop the plague.

Who’s undead (the infected)

The trailer makes the horror unmistakable: several high-profile MCU characters appear as the infected. Notable zombified figures include Scarlet Witch (frighteningly regal as a “Dead Queen”), Captain America, Hawkeye, Okoye, Abomination, Namor, and even Thanos — all reworked into gruesome versions of themselves. The visuals underline how far the series will push gore and brutality compared with other Marvel Animation entries.

Blade Knight and other surprises

One striking new presence in the trailer is Blade Knight, a violent, vampire-slaying variant who cuts through the undead with ruthless efficiency. The character’s inclusion (voiced in the trailer by Todd Williams) and his visual ties to Moon Knight mythology provide a fresh — and unexpectedly cinematic — action element to the series. The trailer also teases brutal Spider-Man moments, clashes between gods like Thor and Scarlet Witch, and blink-and-you-miss-them cameos.

Tone, length, and release

Marvel Zombies is a four-part event and marks Marvel Animation’s first TV-MA project — a clear signal it’s aimed at mature audiences comfortable with horror and graphic violence. Marvel and Disney are releasing the entire miniseries on Disney+ on September 24, 2025, so fans won’t have to wait episode-to-episode to see how this grim story plays out.
